Bishkek, March 5 / Kabar /. Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic Sooronbay Zheenbekov met on Saturday with chairman of Tokyo Rope MFG Co., Ltd Shigeto Tanaka, the Kyrgyz government’s press service reports.
Prime Minister Zheenbekov said that Kyrgyzstan attaches great importance to developing bilateral relations with Japan.
Shigeto Tanaka said that his visit to Kyrgyzstan is the outcome of negotiations with the Embassy of Kyrgyzstan in Japan, on the results of which the company intends to intensify economic cooperation by opening a construction company and to build in future a plant for the production of metal products in Kyrgyzstan.
Sooronbay Zheenbekov stressed with satisfaction the intention of the company.
"We are interested in attracting direct investments from Japan and aim at strengthening the economic cooperation between our countries. In addition, Kyrgyzstan has created all the conditions for doing business with foreign capital," the Prime Minister said.
Shigeto Tanaka added that in the framework of the Programme on the promotion to foreign markets, Tokyo Rope MFG Co., Ltd implements large-scale projects to provide a comprehensive security infrastructure in Russia, Saudi Arabia, Kazakhstan, Georgia and other countries. Tokyo Rope MFG Co., Ltd is one of the world's largest producers of steel ropes, metal ropes for elevator and crane lifts, high-carboxylic ropes, metal systems for security engineering infrastructure and universal fastening systems for the mining industry.
He stressed that at the initial stage, the company intends to train specialists, highly skilled engineers, miners, which will continue to participate in international projects of the company. He also said that Tokyo Rope MFG Co., Ltd and the State Agency for Promotion of Export and Investment of the Kyrgyz Republic signed the Memorandum of Understanding.
