Yerevan, Oct. 25, 2017. / Kabar/. Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Sapar Isakov today met with Armenian Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan within the framework of participation in a regular meeting of the Eurasian intergovernmental council to be chaired by Kyrgyzstan.
The sides discussed the topical issues of bilateral cooperation, as well as issues of further integration of countries within the framework of the Eurasian Economic Union.
Isakov said that Kyrgyzstan attaches great importance to further development of relations with Armenia in the field of trade and economic cooperation.
"It is also important to continue the bilateral dialogue with the aim of boosting trade and economic relations between countries in order to increase trade turnover, which increased in 2017 compared to 2016. It is necessary to use all available potential for this," the Kyrgyz Prime Minister said.
Isakov stressed the importance of using maximum benefits for Kyrgyzstan and Armenia from participating in the Eurasian integration.
At the same time, Isakov stressed the necessity of using Armenia's experience in applying the user status of a special scheme for stimulating sustainable development and good governance of "GSP +".
"Taking this circumstance into account, the parties could exchange experience on the effective use of the benefits provided by this status," Isakov said.
Karapetyan also noted the interest and readiness for the dynamic development of trade and economic cooperation.
He stressed that the Armenian side will make all necessary efforts for this.
