Bishkek, June 16 / Kabar /. The VII festival of folk and decorative and applied arts "Kyrgyz shyrdagy" will be held in At-Bashi region of Naryn oblast from 28 to 29 June, the Ministry of Culture, Information and Tourism reported.
The festival is held to preserve the heritage of the Kyrgyz people, to develop felt art and support skilled craftsmen. There will be organized master classes on the manufacture of felt products, national dishes, competitions.
Kyrgyz Shyrdagy project festival was developed in 2009 with the support of the GIZ program on Promoting Sustainable Economic Development as an instrument for the economic development of the region and as an event for attracting tourists.
Also, Kymyz festival will be held there from 28 to 29 June, where guests can taste a national drink.
