Bishkek, Feb. 14 / Kabar /. In 2017, Kyrgyzstan will export more than 500 thousand tons of agricultural products, Minister of Agriculture, Food and Reclamation Nurbek Murashev told today at a press conference.
He said that in 2016 this figure was 450 thousand tons. "We monitor and advise farmers what to sow. However, not all farmers use our advice. For example, we often export dairy products, fruits and vegetables to EEU countries, and export dried fruits to the European market. And if farmers plant these products, they will not need to look for a trade area," the minister said.
Also the head of the Agriculture Ministry noted that there are a number of products which are in demand both within the country and outside. For example, this year increased acreage of rice, because this product is in great demand.
