Bishkek, March 10 / Kabar /. A round table was held in Bishkek with the participation of Vice Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic to discuss the draft law on combating organized crime, the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.
The round table was organized at the initiative of the main department for combating organized crime of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, with the support of the OSCE Center in Bishkek.
The topic for discussion was the urgent issue of improving legislation in the field of combating organized crime in the Kyrgyz Republic.
The event was attended by Vice Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic Jenish Razakov, the head of the OSCE Center in Bishkek Pierre von Arks, the representatives of the State National Security Committee of Kyrgyzstan, the State Penitentiary Service of the KR, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Supreme Court, and higher educational institutions.
"Organized crime in Kyrgyzstan has become so large that it began to take advantage of the opportunities of state institutions and civil society, undermining the national security, economic and spiritual foundations of the existence and further development of society," Zhenish Razakov said.
