Bishkek, May 19 / Kabar /. The International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) is ready provide all necessary support and assistance to the development of civil aviation in Kyrgyzstan, visiting President of the Council of ICAO Olumuiva Benard Aliou told in Bishkek during the meeting head of the President’s Office of the of the Kyrgyz Republic Sapar Isakov, the President’s press service reported.
During the meeting, the sides discussed measures to introduce international standards and practices recommended by ICAO in order to ensure integrated aviation security in Kyrgyzstan.
In particular, it was noted that in order to further develop civil aviation in the country, it is necessary to pay special attention to issues of ensuring financial independence and increasing the efficiency of the activities of the Civil Aviation Agency of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Sapar Isakov said that Kyrgyzstan’s relevant state bodies face an important task to implement a set of measures aimed at significantly improving the performance of international safety standards.
"We intend to take decisive steps to achieve real results in the development of civil aviation in Kyrgyzstan. In the near future, we will develop a step-by-step plan of actions to address the most important tasks facing state bodies," Sapar Isakov said.
He added that for these purposes, Kyrgyzstan needs assistance from ICAO in providing expert support.
The President of the Council of ICAO Olumuiva Benard Aliou, in his turn, said that Kyrgyzstan today is among the countries that most emphatically demonstrate their commitment to improving safety performance and expressed their readiness to provide all necessary support and assistance to the development of civil aviation in Kyrgyzstan.
