Humanitarian aid rendered to victims of landslide in Uzgen

Bishkek, May 3 / Kabar /. The Red Crescent of Kyrgyzstan team distributed humanitarian aid to resettled residents of the village of Kurbu-Tash in Uzgen region, the press service of the Red Crescent of Kyrgyzstan reported.

The population received necessary assistance in the form of tarpaulins, canisters for water, kitchen sets and bedding. A total of 60 specified kits were distributed for each tent.

The Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Kyrgyz Republic previously provided 61 tents for the evacuation of people. The employees of the Red Crescent Society of the Kyrgyz Republic immediately visited the scene and made a preliminary assessment of the situation, and also identified the needs of other victims.

At the moment 69 objects are under the threat , including 5 social facilities: medical station, mosque, school, cemetery, kindergarten. A team of doctors is on duty at the campsite.

1384 people live in the village of Kurbu-Tash.

The National Red Crescent Society of the Kyrgyz Republic has been closely cooperating with the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Kyrgyz Republic within its emergency response activities.
