Honorary Consulate of Kyrgyzstan opened in Belarus

Bishkek, March 3 / Kabar /. The official opening of the Honorary Consulate of Kyrgyzstan is held in Grodno of Belarus on February 28, 2017, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reports.

The ceremony was attended by Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Belarus Kubanychbek Omuraliev, Chairman of the Grodno Oblast Executive Committee Vladimir Kravtsov, the management and the representatives of government of Grodno and Brest regions, heads of Lithuania's consular posts in Poland and Ukraine in the city of Grodno, members of the public and the media.

In his speech Omuraliev stressed the importance of this event for the Kyrgyz-Belarusian relations, which reflects the mutual interest in expanding cooperation. He also stressed that along with consular functions, primarily aimed at protecting the rights and interests of citizens and legal entities of the Kyrgyz Republic, the activities of the Honorary Consulate should be focused on strengthening the existing bilateral partnership and friendly relations with a focus on achieving concrete results in the expansion of trade economic ties, deepening cultural and humanitarian cooperation.

Chairman of Grodno Executive Committee Kravtsov also delivered a congratulatory speech. "This is a significant event in the life of the city and the region. We have a lot of proposals for the development of mutually beneficial bilateral cooperation, and the opening of the new diplomatic mission of EEU states – members will facilitate their implementation," said Kravtsov.
