Hockey players from Kyrgyzstan win silver at Asian Challenge Cup (U-20)

Bishkek, Dec. 18, 2017 / Kabar /The national hockey team of Kyrgyzstan (U-20) for the first time in its history wins silver at Asian Youth Challenge Cup this year, the vice president of Kyrgyzstan Hockey Federation, Elzar Bolotbekov told. Kyrgyz hockey players in total scored 9 points and won the honorary second place.

The winner of the cup was the host of the tournament – Malaysia. Philippines’s team won bronze medal.

The tournament was held in Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia) on Dec. 12 - 17. Teams of Kyrgyzstan, India, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), the Philippines and Malaysia took part in the event.

Kyrgyz team had 4 games, out of which 3 were victorious. Score with Philippines was (12: 4), with UAE (10:2) and India (13:2).
