Bishkek, March 24 / Kabar /. The golden and silver pages of the Koran are presented at today’s exhibition in Bishkek.
The presenter of the event Assol Moldokmatova said that, the exhibition entitled “Eternal Values” is devoted to spiritual values, the search for oneself, the meaning of life and other philosophical issues. "About 25 famous artists of Kyrgyzstan provided their best pictures dedicated to morality, spirituality and philosophy. Pictures can be purchased only today at an auction, which will be held in the exhibition in the evening," she said.
The golden pages a text from the Koran of Usman brought specially to the exhibition are made in the Moscow Mint Court. There are four pages in total: one - gold and three - silver.
The "Golden Koran" is an absolute copy of the world's oldest manuscript of the VIII century "Koran of Usman", made of the highest gold (999) and is a work of art that does not have world analogues. It is made in a single copy on the Moscow Mint of the Ministry of Finance of Russia. The original manuscript of the "Koran of Usman" is the property of the Russian Federation and is kept in St. Petersburg at the Institute of Oriental Manuscripts of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
