Geneva introduced to goals of Kyrgyz Smart City Project

Bishkek, March 5, 2018 / Kabar /. State Secretary of the Ministry of Economy of the Kyrgyz Republic (MEKR) Aidin Sharsheev briefed the participants of the Regional Forum on Sustainable Development, which took place in Geneva on March 1-2 on reforms being conducted in Bishkek, the press service of the MEKR reported.

In particular, A.Sharsheev informed that within the framework of the Smart City project implementation, it is expected to introduce informational technologies, improve the quality and transparency of municipal services provided to citizens, expand the range of municipal services provided through the Internet and other benefits.

In addition, the State Secretary of the MEKR stressed that the project plans of launching of automated parking stations- smart traffic lights and upgrading the infrastructure in Bishkek.

Sharseev said that the achievement of the set results will allow attracting more investments in infrastructure, which in future should contribute to the development of alternative sources of transportation and introduction of affordable housing for citizens.
