GDP volume of Kyrgyzstan increased by 3.9% since beginning of the year - National Statistics Committee

The volume of gross domestic product in January-October 2017, according to preliminary estimates, amounted to over 382.6 billion soms and increased by 3.9% compared to the same period last year, Deputy Chairman of the National Statistics Committee of the Kyrgyz Republic Baisbek Kasymbekov told at a press conference on the results of the socio-economic development of Kyrgyzstan in the period from January to October 2017.

He said that the growth of GDP was provided by the increase of the volume of industry, construction, agriculture, as well as the development of areas for the provision of services.

"The largest share in the structure of GDP belongs to the service industry, which accounted for 48% of the total volume of this macroeconomic indicator. The share of industry made over 18%, agriculture - about 16%, construction - 7%," explained Kasymbekov.

He also said that without taking into account the enterprises for the development of the Kumtor field, the volume of GDP in January-October of this year made about 346.2 billion soms and increased by 3.5%.
