Bishkek, Oct.11, 2019 /Kabar/. Gross domestic product in January-September 2019, according to preliminary estimates, amounted to more than KGS 398 billion, and increased by 6.1% compared to the same period last year, Deputy Chairman of the National Statistics Committee Azamat Orosbayev told during the press conference.
The deputy chairman said excluding the Kumtor mine development enterprises, the GDP volume in January-September 2019 amounted to about KGS 356 billion and increased by 3.2%.
“The volume of industrial output amounted to more than KGS 196 billion and increased by 16.5% compared to the same period last year due to the growth of production of basic metals - by 39.2%, in textile production - by 30.1%, mining of metal ores - by 26.7%, as well as the extraction of crude oil and natural gas - by 14.1%,” said Orosbayev.
He also noted positive trends in agriculture, where the growth of volumes was 1.8%, in construction - 9.0%, in wholesale and retail trade - 4.6%.
