Bishkek, Feb. 8, 2018 / Kabar /. The people of Kyrgyzstan demand a strong fight against corruption, President of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbay Jeenbekov said today speaking at the meeting of the Security Council at Ala-Archa state residence
The issues on fighting corruption, the work of the prosecutor's office, national security bodies, judicial and security forces will be considered at the meeting.
President Jeenebekov said that in the corruption rating of the Transparency International, Kyrgyzstan ranks the 136th among 176 countries.
"I traveled around Kyrgyzstan, met with the population of almost all regions of the country. Kyrgyzstanis demand that the resolute fight against corruption not only be continued, but be strengthened many times," the President said.
"The most important force in this struggle is the political will of the head of state! I promised the people that the fight against corruption is a priority for me as the president. I have such a political will, I am ready for this fight! I also demand from you conscientious service to our Kyrgyzstan," Jeenbekov said.
