Father’s Will wins Grand Prix at Film Festival in India

Bishkek, Feb. 13, 2018 / Kabar /. The Kyrgyz film "Father’s Will" won the Grand Prix for "Best Feature Film" at the Golden Triangle International Film Festival.

Director Dastan Zhapar uulu told Kabar Agency that another great news they received from Cholpon Idrisova from India, where she was presenting Kyrgyzstan at the IFF.

"We are very pleased that, in two days, won the Prize of the Press from Russia and the Grand Prix from India," the director said.

"Father's Will" ("Atanian kereezi") is a social drama directed by Bakyt Mukul and Dastan Zhapar uulu, which touches upon the issue of migration not only of the Kyrgyz people, but of the whole modern society as a whole.

Earlier, the film received the Prize of the Press at the II International Film Festival (IFF) named after Vyacheslav Tikhonov "17 Moments ..." in Russia.
