Bishkek, Jan. 29, 2018 / Kabar /. The jubilee evening of the outstanding Kyrgyz ballet dancer, Aisulu Tokombaeva will be held at the Kyrgyz Opera and Ballet Theater on Feb.2, 2018. A. Tokombaeva is the People's Artist of former USSR, Laureate of the State Prize of the USSR, Laureate of Lenin Komsomol Prize of the Kyrgyz Republic, Laureate of Aitmatov International Award.
The admission is free of charge. The program of the event will include works of leading ballet dancers from world and national classics.
Aisulu Tokombayeva was born on Sept. 22, 1947 in Frunze. She graduated from the Leningrad Choreographic School (now the Academy of Russian Ballet named after A.Y. Vaganova) 1958-1966.
In 1966, Aisulu Tokombayeva began her work in the ballet theater company of the Kyrgyz Opera and Ballet Theater and was immediately instructed to make solo and responsible performances of the world ballet classics. From her first performance of Odette-Odile in the Swan Lake by Tchaikovsky, a young ballet dancer attracted attention with her bright personality.
She possessed a rare quality - the ability to fill the beautiful forms of classical dance with the language of natural, truthful and at the same time spiritual human feelings. The images created by Aisulu Tokombaeva in classical and modern ballets became the standard of performing arts, harmoniously combining dance and acting skills. These skills brought world fame and popularity to the Kyrgyz ballet dancer.
This outstanding ballet dancer brilliantly represented the Kyrgyz art in the cities of former USSR and abroad - in Poland, Bulgaria, Finland, Libya, Tunisia, Sweden, Italy, Yugoslavia, Hungary, Denmark and Switzerland.
Since 1995, Aisulu Tokombaeva has been teaching in Turkey, where she teaches choreography at the conservatory of Hacettepe University (Ankara). She often gets invited to be a jury for prestigious International Ballet Competitions. Her art gives people unforgettable moments when meeting with this beautiful ballet dancer.
