Bishkek, July 13 / Kabar /. Minister of Economy of the Kyrgyz Republic, Governor of the EBRD from Kyrgyzstan Arzybek Kozhoshev met on July 11 with First Deputy of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) Philippe Bennet.
The press service of the Ministry of Economy of the Kyrgyz Republic reports that, the meeting was held on July 11 during the visit of Kozhoshev to Switzerland, where he took part in the Assistance in Trade 2017 forum, held under the auspices of the World Trade Organization.
During the meeting, Minister Kozhoshev stressed the EBRD's contribution to the socioeconomic development of Kyrgyzstan, and said that since 1993 the importance of the EBRD as a catalyst for investment has been enormous. The minister said that, the Bank has implemented 153 projects for a total of about 700 million euro.
The minister also thanked the EBRD for supporting the holding of Taza koom International High-Level Forum and made a proposal to actively participate in this project.
The EBRD Vice President expressed interest and offered to support the project in terms of improving the access of the private sector to public services by:
- digitalization of legal entities registration systems;
- automation of the notarization system;
- patenting systems;
- electronic registration of legal rights and legal relations.
The Minister of Economy of the Kyrgyz Republic also proposed the EBRD to participate in the creation of the Taza koom Trust Fund, which will serve as a financial platform for the implementation of the Public Service Automation Initiative.
In turn, Mr. Bennet expressed interest in a detailed study of this issue.
