Bishkek, March 1, 2018 / Kabar /. Cooks from Kyrgyzstan became one of the best at the International Gastronomic Festival International Istanbul Gastronomy Festival 2018 in Turkey, which was held from Feb. 22 to 25 in Istanbul, the website of the Festival reported.
The Festival is held for the 16th time and is considered a truly iconic event in the world of gastronomy and cooking.
As part of the event, there were food feud, tasting sessions and competitions among the best famous chefs, presentations of brands, natural farm products, bakery, ecological food products, confectionery and beverages.
Famous chefs of the world attended the Festival. Only about 2 thousand chefs revealed their secrets.
Turkish and foreign cooks competed in the contest on 70 categories.
Chefs from Kyrgyzstan took second place in the team Grand Prix.
Akhmatjan Rakhimov took silver in the category of lamb dish, Igor Puzyrov also became the second in the category original fish dish and Dmitry Kolesnik was awarded an honorable second place in the category pasta dishes.
The exhibition was visited by more than 30 thousand guests.
