Bishkek, April 3, 2018 / Kabar /. A street named after the Kyrgyz writer Chyngyz Aitmatov will appear in Tashkent, the corresponding decree was published on the website of the President of Uzbekistan.
According to the decree a number of events will be held in Uzbekistan on the occasion of the 90th anniversary of the great writer and public figure, Chyngyz Aitmatov.
It is planned to publish a book of memoirs "Chyngyz Aitmatov and Uzbekistan". Documentaries will shoot a film about the life and work of the writer and create a feature film based on Aitmatov's works. It is planned to name Chyngyz Aitmatov one of the central streets of Tashkent in order to perpetuate his memory and establish a bust of the writer in school number 33 Parkent district of Tashkent region.
"The great writer and public figure Chyngyz Aitmatov is an outstanding personality, the pride of not only the Kyrgyz, but also of all Turkic peoples, including the people of Uzbekistan," the website says.
