Bishkek, March 22 / Kabar /. The official visit of chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Kyrgyz Republic, Major-General Rayimberdi Duishenbiev’s visit to the People's Republic of China has been completed today, March 22, 2017, the press service of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.
During the visit, Duishenbiev met with Defense Minister of China, Colonel-General Chang Wanquan and also with Chief of the Joint Staff of the Central Military Council of China Colonel-General Fang Fenghui.
During the meetings, the sides stressed the successful development of military cooperation both in the bilateral format and within the framework of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO).
In addition to the prospects for further development of military and military-technical cooperation between the countries, the sides discussed the topical issues of ensuring security in the region and measures taken in the fight against the "three forces of evil" - terrorism, extremism and separatism, as well as training of military personnel and further cooperation in the SCO format.
The heads of delegations stressed the dynamic development of bilateral relations in the military field, and also expressed their intention to further strengthen them in order to ensure the security of the two states.
As a result of the visit, an agreement was signed on granting gratuitous military assistance to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Kyrgyz Republic by the Ministry of Defense of the People's Republic of China worth more than RMB 100 million.
