Beijing, May 16 / Kabar /. Negotiations are under way to establish a Chinese-Kyrgyz fund to support small and medium-sized businesses, Economy Minister of Kyrgyzstan Arzybek Kozhoshev told reporters following the Belt and Road Forum held in Beijing, China.
He said that during the forum an agreement was signed to support small and medium-sized businesses of Kyrgyzstan from China.
"In this regard, negotiations are underway to create a fund that will be similar to the Russian-Kyrgyz Development Fund. The fact is that today small and medium business makes 40.5% of the GDP of Kyrgyzstan. And here the main problem is the lack of funds. The annual need of small and medium businesses is 15-20 billion soms, and we can allocate a maximum of 10 billion," he said.
The Kyrgyz delegation headed by President Almazbek Atambayev took part in the Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation in Beijing. The delegation also included of Foreign Minister Erlan Abdyldaev, Minister of Economy Arzybek Kozhoshev, head of the Foreign Policy Department of the President's Office Aizada Subakozhoeva.
