Chief of Kyrgyzstan's General Staff and Turkish Ambassador discuss military cooperation

Bishkek, Feb. 9, 2018. /Kabar/. Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Kyrgyzstan Raimberdi Duishenbiev met with newly appointed Ambassador of Turkey to Kyrgyzstan Cengiz Kamil Firat, the press service of the Kyrgyz General Staff reported.

During the meeting, the sides exchanged views on the state of the Kyrgyz-Turkish military relations, strengthened bilateral cooperation, and announced their intention to further strengthen military ties between the two countries.

The sides emphasized that over the past years, Turkey has provided effective material and technical assistance to the Armed Forces of Kyrgyzstan in providing with weapons and military equipment, logistics, medical equipment and office equipment. The sides also stressed the active cooperation in training military personnel in educational institutions in Turkey.

At the end of the meeting, the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Turkish Ambassador confirmed mutual readiness to expand bilateral ties on existing and promising vectors of cooperation.
