Bishkek, April 24 / Kabar /. The Championship of Kyrgyzstan on Traditional Wushu is completed in Chui oblast, the press service of the Federation of Traditional Wushu of Kyrgyzstan reported.
The tournament was organized and conducted by the Federation of Traditional Wushu of the Kyrgyz Republic, the National Center for Children and Youth, the House of Culture of Leninsky village under the auspices of the Directorate for Non-Olympic Sports under the State Agency for Physical Culture and Sports of Kyrgyzstan.
The purpose of the Championship was the development and dissemination of the traditional martial art of Wushu in the Kyrgyz Republic.
Based on the results of the Championship, the combined team of Kyrgyzstan will be formed to participate in the 29th Summer Universiade (Taipei, Taiwan), the 14th World Wushu Championship (Kazan, Russia) and the 7th World Championship in Traditional Wushu (Emeishan, China).
Traditional Wushu is an ancient Chinese martial art that harmoniously combines the practice of combat techniques with training the person's personality: physical, intellectual, mental and moral qualities.
This year in the Championship of Kyrgyzstan on Traditional Wushu was attended by athletes aged from 11 years and older and who passed the preliminary selection.
In total, 30 types of the program were presented at the Championship.
