Bishkek to commemorate national writer Moldo Kylych

Bishkek, Dec. 14, 2017 / Kabar/. A special event dedicated to the 150th anniversary of Kyrgyz national writer Moldo Kylych Shamyrkan uulu will be held today at the big hall of the Kyrgyz National Philharmonicю

Moldo Kylych is a great Kyrgyz thinker and one of the founders of Kyrgyz literature, the Ministry of Culture, Information and Tourism press service reported.

Parliament deputies, representatives of the President and Government Offices will take part in the event. Prominent writers, poets, representatives of literature intellectuals of the country and students of universities of Kyrgyzstan are also invited.

Moldo Kylych Shamykan (Shamyrkan) uulu was born in 1866 in the Bugu area in Kochkor valley.

He is one of the founders of Kyrgyz literature. His work "Zilzala", printed on Arabic alphabet, was published in Kazan in 1911. This work was the first printed work of Kyrgyz literature.
