Bishkek, April 17 / Kabar /. President of Kyrgyzstan Almazbek Atambayev met today with State Minister of Foreign Affairs of India Mushabar Javad Akbar, the Kyrgyz President’s press service reported.
During the meeting, the sides discussed the plans to organize an international conference in Kyrgyzstan with the participation of the leaders of the Muslim clergy. The agreement on its holding was reached during the negotiations of Atambayev with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi within the framework of the state visit of the Kyrgyz President to India.
President Atambayev noted that the conference should be an effective platform for exchanging views on issues of development of Islam, countering religious extremism and radicalization and may become a turning point in the development of modern Islam.
