8 towns of Kyrgyzstan to introduce in 2020 e-enrolment in schools and kindergartens

Bishkek, Dec.12, 2019. /Kabar/. In the next 2020-2021 academic year, the system of electronic enrolment in schools will be introduced in Osh, Dzhalal-Abad, Kyzyl-Kiya, Tokmok and Kara-Balta cities, leading specialist of the Department of Preschool, School and Extramural Education of the Kyrgyz Ministry of Education and Science Ainura Kuseyinova told reporters.

The specialist said this year, a pilot project of e-enrolment in 1st grade was successfully implemented in Bishkek.

"The main goal of the project was to create conditions for parents to enroll their children in school without complications. Also, to eliminate corruption elements in the admission of children to the 1st grade. The pilot project in the capital city has fully justified itself. I rely on the feedback from parents because they went through this process without any obstacles,” Kuseyinova said.

“As a result of this pilot project, 19 thousand 126 children were enrolled in the 1st grade through the electronic system,” said the chief specialist of the Ministry of Education.

She also noted enrolment of children through the electronic system in the cities of Osh, Dzhalal-Abad, Kyzyl-Kiya, Kara-Balta and Tokmok is planned for the next year.

Also, at the press conference at Kabar News Agency it became known that kindergartens in Tokmok, Kemin, Sulukta, Kyzyl-Kiya, Kara-Balta and Balykchy towns will introduce e-enrolment from the beginning of 2020.

Rasul Mamatov, Head of the Information Support Sector of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic said the system is now operating in the pilot cities of Bishkek, Osh and Ysyk-Ata region of Chui Oblast.

"More than 40 thousand children have been enrolled in kindergartens through electronic system , and over 30 thousand children are waiting in line. At present, this system is being improved. The system is also being integrated with the database of the State Registration Service, and the process of registering children will be much easier," the official said.
