Bishkek, Dec. 3, 2017 / Kabar /. The seventh plenary meeting of the Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic-speaking countries (TurkPA) will be held in Bishkek on Dec. 8. Speakers of the parliaments of the TurkPA member countries will take part in the event, as well as the vice speaker of the Hungarian parliament will participate as an observer.
For the first time in the history of the TurkPA, the parliamentary delegation of Uzbekistan, headed by deputy chairman of the legislative chamber of the Oliy Majlis, will be the guest of honor.
The parliamentary delegation of Turkmenistan is also invited as a guest of honor. Within the framework of this event, Kyrgyz Parliament Speaker Dastanbek Dzhumabekov will hold a number of bilateral meetings with the heads of parliamentary delegations of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Turkey, Hungary and Uzbekistan.
The meeting participants will consider a number of issues related to the further activities of the organization, strengthening and expanding inter-parliamentary cooperation. The meeting will be resulted in adopting a Joint Declaration.
During the meeting, the chairmanship in the TurkPA will be transferred from Kazakhstan to Kyrgyzstan.
